Water Baptism is a powerful public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ and an outward expression of the new life you have received in Him. Through baptism, we identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, declaring that our old life has passed away and that we have been made new in Christ.

At Prayer House Church, we believe in baptism by full immersion in water, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19.

In being baptised, we believe that we are:

• Following God’s command to be baptised (Acts 2:38).
• Following the example of Jesus, who Himself was baptised (Matthew 3:16).
• Declaring that our old life has been buried and that we have been raised to new life in Christ (Romans 6:4–8).
• Responding to the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19–20).
